Kati Moore, now 20, contended Tim Horton, her 24-year-old supervisor at a California based Starbucks coffee shop, would send her inappropriate text messages on a daily basis. Reports state one of the messages read, “I’d like to f-tomorrow.”

Moore accused Starbucks of failing to protect her from the daily workplace harassment and stated her other Starbucks supervisors were conscious of the illicit activity, yet carelessly kept quiet about the matter.

Prosecutors were alerted immediately when Moore’s mother found out about the relationship between her underage daughter and the Starbucks supervisor.

Horton pleaded guilty to a felony charge of illegal sex with a minor and served four months in prison for the offense.

Moore’s case was even featured in a “20/20” investigation concerning teenage victims of workplace sexual harassment. Fast food restaurants often have sexual harassment reports because they are common for many teens to become employed for the first time. ”They’re vulnerable, they’re young, they’re new to the workforce, ” said Dr. Susan Strauss, a sexual harrassment expert interviewed in the “20/20″ investigation.

Starbucks also issued the following statement when the “20/20” report was first aired: “These two employees concealed their relationship from Starbucks, which violated company policy. We are confident that the case will ultimately be resolved in finding that Starbucks is not at fault.”

Specifics regarding the settlement have not been released.

The ride, Xcelerator, is a $13 Million hydraulic launch accelerator coaster that opened in 2002 at the Knott’s Berry Farm Theme park. It reopened Monday after being modifications were made to it required by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.

The state’s report in a statement said it “identified shortcomings in the manufacturer’s instructions regarding the inspection and maintenance of the cable and required Knott’s Berry Farm to put into place additional safeguards to determine cable viability and to work with the manufacturer to revise maintenance instructions.”

The accident that led to these modifications occurred on September 16, 2009 when a 12 year old boy’s leg was cut and a man suffered back injuries. These accidents were captured by and on-board video camera.

The video was viewed nearly 100,000 times on YouTube and shows a blast of debris that sprayed riders as a cable snapped loose during the hydraulic launch up the distinctive 205 foot tall element. Frantic riders tried to free themselves from the smoking coaster as the train descended back toward the station.

Dean Fryer, Cal/OSHA agency spokesman, said both Knott’s and the manufacturer, Intamin AG, were found at fault.

The maintenance instructions for the ride were confusing and unclear whether the cable should be inspected monthly or every six months, according to Fryer. Knott’s was inspecting the cable every six months instead of every month as the manufacturer intended, said Fryer.

Despite the instructions, Knott’s was 19 days late on the six month cable inspection at the time of the accident, Fryer said.

This accident was the second major accident at Knott’s involving a ride manufactured by Intamin. A 40-year-old woman in 2001 died after falling from the Perilous Plunge water ride, also built by Intamin.

John D. Totton, 21, drove his truck to the edge of Jackson Pit, when the ground beneath his trucks’s tires gave way sending his truck down into the pit and ejecting him, according to Sgt. Shane Gardner.

Gardner said that several people who witnessed the accident called in, attempting to provide directions to the location. The accident occurred at about 3:18 a.m. Sunday morning according to Clark Regional Emergency Services.

Responders called in a helicopter to airlift Totton but he died before a Life Flight helicopter could be activated, Gardner said.

A preliminary investigation found that alcohol may have been a factor. Authorities believe Totton was driving the 2000 Toyota pickup truck that was pulled to the edge of the pit. According to Sgt. Gardner he was not wearing a safety belt.

An investigation is being conducted by detectives from Clark County’s homicide and traffic division. A toxicology report is not expected back for several weeks.

According to the suit, even after Demond Hunt Jr. complained of a headache and signs of a concussion, Sunkett still ordered him to go out and play. The suit also claims that Hunt broke his collarbone in July of 2008 when Sunkett ordered him to tackle a teammate while neither of them were wearing any protective gear. Hunt also experienced a series of seizures and strokes after his blood vessel burst in his brain.

McLorn is also seeking at least $50,000 for each of the petition’s four counts.

The surveillance camera was filming as Marie Moore pointed a gun at the back of her son Mitchell’s head and shot him at point blank range.

The woman then stepped back and put the gun in her mouth and shot herself.

A witness on another booth saw what had happened and yelled for help.

Reports say that Marie left a suicide note and claimed that God had told her to shoot her son.

‘I’m so sorry. I had to send my son to heaven and myself to Hell,’ she wrote in a suicide note.

She also left two audio recordings about killing her son to save the world.

I have to die and go to hell so there can be a thousand years peace on earth,’ she said in the two tapes.

‘God’s turned me into the Anti-Christ… I’m a good person, but the Devil and God turned me into the worst person in the world. I’m so ashamed. And I’m so afraid. And I’ll pay forever and ever. ‘I’m sorry to leave you like this. It’s a horrifying thing to do.’

Reports say that Moore has a history of mental illness and that she had been banned from entering the Shoot Straight gun range several years ago for attempting to commit suicide there.
