Investigators have identified a man killed in a crash with a FrontRunner.   The accident occurred when he tried to beat an oncoming commuter train by driving around barrier arms and onto a railroad crossing .
Charles Dubose, 52, of West Haven, was killed when the train traveling 79 mph crashed into his pickup at 7:57 p.m. Monday, the Utah Highway Patrol said.

Three members of Boston College’s national championship hockey team were among seven individuals in a car involved in a collision with an MBTA trolley late Saturday night. Philip Samuelsson, Parker Milner and Patrick Wey, all freshmen, were in a Jeep Cherokee that allegedly swerved in front of the train on Commonwealth Ave.  They were hit by a trolley while making a U-turn across the tracks.

New York State Police have released the names of those killed in an accident involving a motorcycle and a train in Verona Tuesday afternoon.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Leon G. Jayson, 39, of Oneida, NY was driving his 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle North bound on Fox Road with his wife, Sherry Jayson, 37, as his passenger.  As they approached the railroad crossing, a CSX freight train was heading west bound crossing Fox road.  The crossing gate was lowered and operational.
The motorcycle was unable to stop in time and struck the crossing gate. …
