Nine people were shot early Sunday at a downtown Oakland Halloween party according to authorities.
Police stated that most of the victims were hit in the arms and legs and none of the wounds were believed to be life-threatening. No one was arrested.  The shooting is believed to be one of the largest number of shooting victims at one time in Oakland recent history.

The alleged gunman who injured two students at a Carlsbad elementary school is to be arraigned Wednesday on multiple felony charges of attempted murder.
The gunman, Brendan O’Rourke, 41, is scheduled for arraignment in the Vista branch of San Diego County Superior Court.  He is charged with dressing up in black and screaming incoherently while he attacked and wounded two students at Kelly Elementary School on Friday after climbing a fence on to the school playground.
O’Rourke is being held without bail at the County Jail in Vista.

The Desert Hot Springs Police Department received multiple calls on Tuesday night of shots being heard in the area of the Estancia Apartments located near the intersections of Ironwood Drive and Verbena Drive.  Police officers arrived to the scene and found 19-year-old Jonathan Steven Madril from Desert Hot Springs dead.

According to a Connecticut official nine people have died and two were wounded in a shooting at a beer distribution warehouse in Connecticut.
Manchester Police Lt. Joe San Antonio stated the gunman is identified by police as Omar S. Thornton, whose body was found inside the warehouse where the shooting took place.
Police say the two wounded individuals were transported the Hartford Hospital are expected to survive.

Police in Orange said a woman in her 40s is recovering at a hospital after being shot twice by her husband who later shot and killed himself in their home in Orange.
Sgt. Dan Adams said at 8 p.m. Sunday a 9 year old girl called 911 and told the dispatcher that her parents were fighting inside their home.  The dispatcher heard the gunshots.

A 14-year-old boy is dead after being shot by another teen in what police are saying was an accident.
Canton Police said the 14-year-old girl accidentally shot and killed her friend, 14-year-old Romello Rogers when the two were playing with a gun.  Rogers died from a gunshot to the head early Sunday morning.
Canton Police Chief Vicki McNeill reported that the girl, who has not been identified, has not been charged and the shooting appears to be accidental.  The investigation is ongoing.

Four people were left dead in what police are stating was a domestic abuse.  The early morning shooting occurred in Chicago’s Marquette Park neighborhood.
According to District Police commander, John Kupczyk, two people are in the hospital in critical condition and a suspect is in custody.
