MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif.—A 27 year old snowboarder, Joshua Hernandez, died at a hospital in Mono County after an accident on Mammoth Mountain.
The accident occurred when the 27 year old slipped and crashed into a fence while performing a trick in the terrain park.
Sheriff’s officials said that Hernandez went home after the accident.  Later he experienced extreme pain and decided it was best to go to the hospital where he went into cardiac arrest after being treated for internal bleeding.  Hospital staff were unable to save him.

1 Dead 3 Injured in Orange County Car Chase

ANAHEIM – A man was killed and three others injured after a high speed police chase resulted in a three-car accident Monday night.
One of the injured men is in police custody in suspicion of felony manslaughter, felony DUI and felony evading and battery.

Two Children Killed in Car Accident

Chautauqua County – A 6-year-old girl and 4-year-old boy died at the scene of a car accident late Monday when the vehicle overturned after hitting the embankment.
Police say Katherine Ambrusko, 6, and her brother, Peter, 4, were pronounced dead at the scene, after the car their father was driving drifted off to the side then struck the embankment. Their father, Dr. Steven J. Ambrusko, 35, was taken to Brooks Memorial Hospital for head and back injuries.

STURBRIDGE – A toddler was killed after he was accidentally struck by a minivan driven by his mother in the driveway of their Sturbridge home.
According to reports, 2-year old Eli Hoy ran to the path of the vehicle while it was backing up. The mother did not see the boy behind the minivan.
Emergency medical technicians arrived at the house at around 8:30 a.m. and tried to revive the child. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

HOUMA – Five men were killed after the boat they were in ran under one end of a barge in Falgout Canal Thursday morning.
The victims were identified as: Michael J. Carrere, 43, of the Bayou Blue area, Louisiana; Carey Meche, 52, of Metairie, Louisiana; Lawrence Flak, 54, of Conroe, Texas; Rene Gauthier, 59, of Houston, Texas; and William Voss, 49, of Katy, Texas.
Reports say the men planned to enter a fishing tournament that begins Friday.

UTAH – Two people are dead while two more are missing after a boating accident at Lake Powell Saturday.
The bodies Mary Anne Taranto and Katherine Prescott were found floating near the lake’s shoreline. The two women’s husbands Terry Michael Taranto and Robert Prescott are still missing after their boat sank in stormy weather on Lake Powell.
A third couple James Brady and Heather Brady survived and swam 1,500 feet before being rescued by authorities. They were treated for hypothermia.

MARSHFIELD –  A man is dead after he was hit by a car while riding his bike near Green Harbor Marina in Marshfield.
Police say 69-year old Richard L. Campbell was crossing Dyke Road on a bicycle at about 10:30 a.m. when he was hit by a car driven by a woman in her early 20’s.
Campbell suffered massive head injuries He was taken to Governor Edward Winslow School by an ambulance and then airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

PHILADELPHIA – A woman was killed by a falling tree branch while jogging in a Philadelphia park Wednesday evening.
23-year old Katie Ladany of northern New Jersey was running on Forbidden Drive in in Fairmount Park at around 6:30 p.m. when the heavy tree branch fell and knocked her to the ground and killing her instantly.
A passerby called 911 and stayed with the victim until paramedics arrived at the scene.

NEW YORK – A 13-year old boy is traumatized after killing his father while attempting to park a car in New York.
The accident happened at around 9:00 p.m. on East Tremont Avenue near Schley Ave.
45-year old John Cedeno was teaching his son how to park a car when the teen lost control and struck him and pinning him against a tree.

SAN DIEGO – A 4-year old girl is killed and her father injured after the bicycle they were riding was hit by a trolley Sunday evening.
The child, identified as Veronica Ramirez of Chula Vista, was pronounced dead at Rady Children’s Hospital in Kearny Mesa.
The accident happened after 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the westbound lanes of L Street at a railroad crossing.
