The gun belonging to Officer Ryan Bonaminio, who was shot and killed Sunday night by an unidentified suspect who is still at large, has not been recovered, according to Riverside police.
Police said the officer may have been shot with his own weapon but they are still investigating that possibility.
The city and county of Riverside, the county district attorney’s office, local and federal police agencies, and the Morongo Indian tribe have contributed to a reward of $385,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect.

A woman is dead after being hit by a fork lift a the Isabella County Recycling center.
A Mid-Michigan Industries client working at the Isabella County Recycling Center has died of injuries sustained in a forklift accident Monday, Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski said.
The forklift was driven by Clarence Andrew Rose, 52, of Alma. He was in the process of moving a recycling bin Monday when it hit Sharon Welling, 52, of St. Louis.
Welling was airlifted to Spectrum Hospital in Grand Rapids because of the magnitude of her injuries. She suffered serious injuries …

A brawl outside a house party occurred when a woman hit a man, and the man refused to strike back, saying he wouldn’t hit a girl. Instead, he said he’d attack the next male who walked by, even if that person was a random stranger, according to reports.
Authorities report that’s when 18-year-old Bobby Tillman happened to approach a group of four party goers. The four stomped, kicked and punched him to death while dozens of bystanders watched.

Nancy Grace, TV host, has ended a legal battle with the family of a woman who committed suicide a day after recording an appearance on her current affairs show.
The guest was Melinda Duckett and she committed suicide in 2006 just 24 hours after she recorded a phone interview with Grace about the disappearance of her two-year-old son, Trenton.
The lawsuit was filed by Duckett’s relatives, alleging Grace had inflicted “emotional distress” during the phone chat by asking a series of probing questions. Police have said that Duckett was their lead suspect.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s daughter, Georgina Bloomberg, was seriously injured in an accident Friday during an equestrian competition in upstate New York.
27-year-old Georgina Bloomberg, a professional show jumper, was unconscious after a “severe fall” while riding at the Syracuse Invitational Sporthorse Tournament on Friday. A spokesman for the competition told the Wall Street Journal she suffered a concussion and a fracture to her spine.
She is to undergo further examination today, according to spokesman Kenneth Kraus, who said in a statement that “she is resting comfortably.”

A Coldwater man working at the Morgan-Oslo plant in Sturgis was the victim of a pedestrian-semi truck accident early yesterday on the south side of Sturgis. 45-year-old James Chess was run over and killed by the truck around 2:30 a.m. Monday. Police detectives say alcohol was believed to be a factor.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Earl Bennett is okay after being involved in a car accident early Monday morning. He tweeted that he was glad to be “alive”. He also tweeted that he was OK, but his car wasn’t as fortunate: “guy ran into back of my ole skool we smashed into wall ole skool done!!! But I’m alive that’s al that matters. Thanking God I’m alive!!!”
According to police Bennett’s car was a 1973 Chevy Impala and the car that rear ended him was a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire.

The dean of Auburn University’s College of Sciences and Mathematics, Marie Wooten, was struck and killed as she was jogging near the intersection of South Donahue Avenue and South College Street at approximately 5:45 a.m., according to reports.
Frankie Bell, an Opelika resident, was jogging with Wooten and was also struck, according to Chief Tommy Dawson of the Auburn Police Department.
Dawson stated about Bell, “we do know she has some broken bones and some serious injuries, but we don’t think they’re life threatening at this point,”
Bell was airlifted to Columbus Regional Hospital.

Ryan Foster, a Dallas police officer was suspended for two weeks after internal investigator concluded that he failed to report an accident and then lied about it.
Foster, joined the department in 2007, can appeal the discipline to Police Chief David Brown.
The accident occurred in April 2010 when Foster bumped into a concrete light pole base causing minor damage near the rear passenger door of his squad car, according to the department records. Foster did not immediately report the accident as the department rules require.

Collins was served on Thursday by Police in Jackson, Mississippi, with a citation for leaving the scene of an accident, according to spokeswoman Colendula Green.
According to Green officers had been preparing an arrest warrant for the ex-actor, but the matter was dealt through Collins’ attorney.
