The surgeon posted a picture of his dog, a border collie, at the beach on Twitter at 4:10 p.m. and 2o minutes later the accident occurred.  Ryan was driving south on PCH north of Deer Creek Road, when his car swerved and tumbled down a rocky embankment toward the ocean.  His car landed on its roof.

Steve Reid a California Highway Patrol Officer stated the accident was reported at 4:33 p.m.  Ryan was declared dead at the scene.  His dog, Jill, survived the accident.

The cause of the accident has not been confirmed and is still under investigation.  According to Officer Reid they were still looking into whether text messaging or Twittering may have been the cause.

Lawyers representing E*Trade have filed hundreds of pages depicting Lohan’s drug abuse, DWI busts and brawls, in order to further prove that E*Trade cannot further defame her in their commercial than what she has already done to herself.  Additionally E*Trade attorneys are trying to prove that Lohan lives in Hollywood and not in Long Island where the lawsuit was filed.  E*Trade corporate headquarters is located in Manhattan and the attorneys are asking the judge to change the venue to their.

The lawsuit was filed by Lohan after the E*Trade commercial came out which featured the now famous E*Trade baby. During the commercial the baby is talking about his portfolio, when his girlfriend asks him if he had been spending time with a “milkaholic” baby named Lindsay.  Lohan saw the commercial and then filed a $100 million defamation lawsuit believing that the “milkaholic” baby was a spoof of her.

According to reports Lohan’s lawyer plans to dismiss the request of change of venue.

Sources said, Brown is distraught over the arrest and has hired and attorney to help defend him in the case.  Brown was arrested because he did not perform well during the field-sobriety test.  The charges could possibly be reduced to a traffic violation in the coming days. The arresting officer’s detailed version of the arrest has not yet been obtained because it occurred during the weekend.

Todd France, Brown’s agent, did not return messages Sunday to comment on the arrest.

The Dolphins also had no comment, but reportedly are not overly concerned given Brown’s reputation as a model citizen.

Brown is currently rehabbing from a November foot surgery and has spent his entire playing career with the Dolphins.  He was selected by Miami as the second overall pick in the 2005 NFL season and was a college star at Auburn.

Wright was charged with DUI and driving with a suspended license last Thursday at 3:30 a.m. on Miami Beach.  He told reporters “the thing that disgusts me the most” was feeling that he let the franchise and its fans down, especially during a playoff chase.

“It was way out of character for me,” Wright said, “I definitely apologize.”

Wright is expected to be in uniform for Tuesday nights matchup against San Antonio. Wright averages 20 minutes a game off the bench and had a career high 26 points on Feb. 23 against Minnesota.

It is uncertain how much playing time he will get going forward.  Carlos Arroyo and Mario Chalmers have filled in for Wright, giving the Heat a different look.

Wright had contact with some teammates over the four days he was away and watched his team win over Chicago and Philadelphia on a television from his home.

Wright didn’t know what to expect when he came back on Tuesday.  ”I’m going to come in here just like any other day, get my shots up, things like that and be ready to play the Spurs,” Wright said. “I know what I’ve got to do if I get out there.

Wright claims the incident was out of character for him and insists that  he’s often found at home at night.

“It was just one bad night,” Wright said. “Just one bad night. What I say is definitely true and I stand by that, me being a homebody and being with my son and things like that. I don’t want anybody to get that confused. That’s always first.”

Michaels’ tour bus was traveling to St. Paul, MN after a July 4th performance at Molson Amphitheater in Toronto when a car lost control and hit the side of the bus causing a five-vehicle pile up. No injuries were reported.

This is the second time Michaels was involved in an accident in less than a month. Earlier in June, Michaels broke his nose after he was knocked down by a set piece during the opening number of the 63rd Annual Tony Awards.

The 51-year-old “48 Hours” producer was indicted Friday on charges of trying to blackmail Letterman. Halderman sent Letterman a letter saying he needed $2 million in order to stay quiet about the hosts’ sexual affairs with his female staffers. charged with one count of attempted grand larceny – punishable by up to 5-to-15 years in jail.

Letterman notified his attorney about the extortion plot and the attorney then contacted the police. They set up a sting in order to capture Halderman. On one of the meetings, Letterman’s attorney was wearing a mic to record everything. The police were standing by in the next room and as soon as the fake check was handed, the police rushed in to arrest Halderman.

Letterman confessed about the affairs during his show.

“This morning, I did something I’ve never done in my life,” Letterman said. “I had to go downtown and testify before a grand jury. … I had to tell them all the creepy things I had done.”

“I have had sex with women who work for me on this show.”

Reports say that the producer was in need of cash because he was ordered to pay $6,800 in child and spousal support for three years in his 2004 divorce settlement.

The 25-year old linebacker was arrested on Sunday when Tila Tequila, whose real name is Tila Nguyen, called police and told them that Merriman tried to forcibly restrain her when she attempted to leave his home early that morning. She was taken to a local hospital with no visible injuries.

Merriman denies all allegations by Nguyen and said that he was trying to stop her from driving drunk.

“On September 6, 2009, the San Diego Sheriff’s Department responded to a citizen’s complaint that was initiated by Tila Nguyen (a.k.a. Tila Tequila),” Merriman’s statement read. “I was taken into custody based upon that complaint. At the time, I was concerned about her welfare given the intoxicated state she appeared to be in, and I encouraged her to stay until safe transportation could be provided. We would all do our best to help a friend if we considered their actions to be detrimental to their personal safety. I in no way caused any harm to Ms. Nguyen, however, paramedics were called, and she was examined, but no injuries were reported. She was released and has since returned to Los Angeles, California,” according to the statement released by Merriman.

No charges had been filed against the football player and he was released immediately.

According the Culver City police, Lynch was arrested Wednesday night after the police approached him and two other guys sitting in a car. Police found a loaded firearm in the vehicle.

The 22-year old all-pro running back was arrested for possession of a concealed firearm after the police determined that the gun belonged to him.

He was released on $35,000 bail.

This is the 2nd arrest for the running back. Lynch pleaded guilty to a traffic violation last June for speeding off in his Porsche Cayenne after hitting a pedestrian.
