Los Angeles, CA –Lenny Dykstra, a former star centerfielder, pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of lewd conduct and assault with a deadly weapon on Wednesday.  Dykstra took a plea deal in which he will not be allowed to post or solicit on any social networking site for three years including Craigslist.  In exchange Dykstra will spend nine months in jail, and be placed on probation for three years.

San Diego, CA — A San Diego police officer who was found guilty of trying to elicit sexual favors from female motorists has had eight civil lawsuits filed against him.  In November Anthony Arevalos, 41, was convicted by a jury of eight felonies, including sexual battery and asking for a bribe. He is serving a nine-year prison term.  The victims from the criminal case are all women except for one man.  They all allege that Arevalos either groped them or tried to elicit sex when he pulled them over.  A …

Chicago, IL — Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was sentenced Wednesday to 14 years in prison for federal corruption charges.  He was convicted in June of multiple corruption counts for trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama and for using campaign contributions for his own personal use.  Wednesday was the first time Blagojevich expressed any remorse stating he was, “unbelievably sorry.” He was also fined $20,000 and is expected to serve at least 12 years of his sentence.  Blagojevich, 55, was a two-term Democrat.  He …
