New York City, NY –Actress Dana Jacks has filed a 3 million dollar lawsuit against the city of New York claiming that the city was “negligent, careless and reckless” in its traffic enforcement in Prospect Park.  Jacks was injured when she had a collision with David Sonenberg who was riding his bicycle in the park on June 11.  Jacks suffered brain trauma and face and skull fractures that caused her to be hospitalized for 25 days.  Already, she has filed a law suit against the cyclist and in response he …

LANCASTER, CA –A group of 20 cyclist were riding near the intersection of Avenue L and Fourth Street West in Lancaster on Saturday when a PT Cruiser and a minivan smashed into each other.  Two of the cyclists, a married couple from Valencia, were hit by the minivan.
The wife suffered moderate injuries and was in stable condition. Her husband sustained head trauma and was in critical condition.  Both cyclists were wearing helmets at the time.
The accident is under investigation.

A Georgia Tech assistant professor died Saturday while riding a bike and crashed into a car.
33-year-old Kurt Lang Frankel of Atlanta was riding his bike on Saturday when a Mercedes struck into him.
Frankel was an assistant professor at Georgia Tech for Earth and Atmospheric Sciences.
The Daily News reported the driver of the Mercedes as Alexandra Elise Alford, 19, when she knocked Frankel from his bicycle.
Frankel was wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead 45 minutes later at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Bicyclists riding around Santa Cruz County this summer have had a hard time. A lot of accidents have happened this summer, including this Sunday a 55-year-old Watsonville woman was hit by a motor home, the 3rd bicycle accident this summer in Santa Cruz.
The woman was apparently riding at around 8:30 a.m. when a motor home clipped her with its side mirror, says the California Highway Patrol. The bicycle tumbled to the ground and injured her leg. The motor home driver drove off.

A Waterloo woman dies Tuesday morning in a bicycle crash, says the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office.
Vera Lucia Ribeiro-Sulentic, age 49, was the wife of Jim Sulentic from Sulentic-Fischels Commercial Group real estate firm.
Ribeiro-Sulentic was apparently the officer manager and held positions for the company since they had opened three years ago, says the vice president Chris Fischels.
The office in Waterloo was closed Tuesday the day after the accident.
