Chicago, IL — A father of two young daughters drowned on Saturday after his kayak rolled over in a retention pond near Des Plaines.  Anthony Hensley, 37, worked for Knox Swan and Dog LLC, a company that puts birds at ponds to control the goose population.  They also use dogs to chase geese away from golf courses, ponds and other properties.  Hensley had worked at that pond for ten years.  Authorities think that aggressive swans may have contributed to the kayak turning over.  A witness saw Hensley try to swim …

San Diego, CA –A 16-year-old boy turned himself in after being notified that he was to be arrested for his participation in a crash that killed two passengers last week. The boy was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and other charges.   The suspect was allegedly racing another car being driven by 18-year-old Michael S. Detroit, Michigan — A battery exploded at the GM Tech Center battery research lab injuring six people Wednesday morning.  Firefighters responded to a call around 9 a.m. that there was an explosion at the lab.
