Laguna Niguel, CA – A pedestrian, possibly riding a skateboard, was hit and then dragged for 25 feet by a car on Friday morning. The driver of the car left the scene. Carlos Salas, 20, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. He died later at the hospital. The pedestrian accident occurred near the intersection of Golden Lantern and Marina Hills Drive at about 3:48 a.m. Police found the vehicle, a black Nissan Maxima, about a quarter mile away from the crash site, but the driver was not found. The Major Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident, and police are looking for the driver of the Maxima.
