Denver News Anchor Bitten By Dog During Interview
Denver, CA – A television news anchor was bitten in the face by a dog during a live morning broadcast. The Argentine mastiff named Gladiator Maximus fell into a Lakewood lake while he was chasing a coyote and was rescued by a firefighter. Due to the freezing conditions firefighter Tyler Sugaski put on a wetsuit to rescue the dog. Kyle Dyer, the news anchor was doing an interview on the rescue with the firefighter and the dog was present. Dyer was petting the dog when it lunged and bit her face. Firefighters, paramedics and animal control were called to KUSA-TV in Denver after the attack. The dog’s owner, Michael Robinson, 39, of Lakewood was cited for failure to have his dog on a leash, allowing a dog to bite and failure to have the dog vaccinated. The dog is in quarantine until a judge can rule on the charges and what will happen to the dog. Dyer is in fair condition at Denver Health Hospital.
