25 May 2010 No Comment

Northern California and Central Valley stores are having a salad dressing product recalled from their stores.  A company that makes salad dressings is recalling one of its products because wrong labels were put on the dressing.

There is a recall of Valu Time brand Ranch dressing because the back label was mislabeled as Valu Time Light Ranch dressing according to VanLaw Food Products, Inc.

The mislabeled dressing does not include an egg allergen declaration according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Those who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of a serious allergic reaction by consuming the mislabeled product states the Fullerton based company.

Approximately 2,271 bottles of the salad dressing were distributed to some Save Mart/Food Maxx stores located in Northern California and the Central Valley.  The dressing has a code date of APR 21 11.

At this time no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
